Talks & visits
We love sharing our passion for bees and visiting schools and groups within our local community.
We can adapt the talk depending on the group and cover a range of topics. We even have an observation hive that proves very popular with all ages.

Schools
We are taking bookings for school talks in and around Ashford. To request a visit, please get in touch with us. We have shared some great resources below for young bee enthusiasts.
Youth Groups
We have visited lots of youth groups; Scouts, Cubs, Brownies, Guides, and love sharing our passion for beekeeping. To arrange a visit from the Ashford Beekeepers get in touch.
Community Groups
As well as schools and youth groups, we also visit community groups such as the WI. We have also had the pleasure of visiting Care facilities and group homes. Get in touch to discuss a visit.

Bee a Friend
The British Beekeeping Association have a free initiative called 'Friends of the Honey Bee' it aims to reach out to primary schools and other community groups to encourage them to become more bee friendly and to be aware of the importance of all pollinators.
Some benefits of becoming a 'Friend of the Honey Bee' include:

A termly newsletter from the BBKA

Learn more about bees
You don't need to have a hive to teach children about bees. The BBKA have put together a list of activities that you can do with your children or students to spark a love for our favourite pollinator.
From poetry and candle wrapping to gardening and baking, take a look at some of the great ideas here.
